Cultivating Safety and Embodied Eros: A Workshop for Nervous System Regulation and Sensory Expansion

Do you yearn for a deeper sense of safety and ease within your own body?

Join us for a transformative in-person workshop where we will dive deep into practices to regulate your nervous system and expand your sensory experience. This event is designed to help you cultivate safety within yourself while exploring the realms of embodied eros. Discover new ways to connect with your body and experience the simple joy of being in a safe and supportive environment. This is a unique opportunity to explore your felt sense and expand your capacity for sensation in a trauma-informed container.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Explore somatic practices and embodiment exercises: Through gentle movement exercises and guided prompts, we'll ground and embark on an exploration of our somatic experience. We'll learn to reconnect with our physical sensations, tune into the wisdom of our bodies and cultivate a deeper sense of embodiment.

  • Masculine and feminine polarity: Within this framework, we will experience the difference in both forms of directional attention, and navigate our felt landscape. These practices are foundational as we deepen in our somatic exploration and begin to titrate and release old patterns of restriction in our bodies.

  • Learn functional breathwork techniques: Regulate your nervous system and promote feelings of calm and clarity. Equip yourself with take away techniques for daily support.

  • Participate in a cacao ceremony (optional): We'll co-create a safe and sacred space through a ceremonial opening with cacao, a powerful heart-opening plant medicine venerated for millennia in Mesoamerica to enhance connection and self-awareness. Should you not wish to partake in ceremonial cacao, we can prepare other herbal teas such as rose or damiana, that can support you in a similar way.

  • Experience a deeply restorative, slow-paced breathwork journey: Supported by evocative soudscapes including a gong bath, you will be guided on a gentle downregulatory breathwork journey designed to guide you into profound peace and safety, where subconscious insights can naturally emerge.

  • Engage in a sharing circle in a safe and supportive container: Connect with your fellow participants and integrate your experiences through the power of sharing and deep listening.

“Perceiving where the weight of our consciousness is gives us choice about what we are perceiving and how our nervous system processes that perception.”
